Sending Issues - Resolved

Earlier today we had an issue that affected our email processing capacity.


What went wrong:

The issue was related to an external DNS server misconfiguration. External DNS servers are queried in order to authenticate emails to be sent. In this specific case, the exception generated by the misconfiguration had side effects that also affected other campaigns being processed.

We assure you that these issues were not in any way related to the v3.3 release on March 6th.

 

What we're doing to improve this:

Our engineering team is reviewing the campaign processing systems in order to improve how these exceptions are handled. They are also reviewing how we can add further campaign/client isolation to reduce the impact of any unforeseen exceptions.

Update at 10:30am EST - Sending is resuming slowly. 

Update at 12:26pm EST - We're still experiencing some issues. The team is working on the problem. We'll keep you posted as soon as the problem is permanently fixed.

Update 1:35pm EST - The issue has been resolved.
